If watching The Block for the last several years has taught me anything, it's that statement pieces in a room can make or break it.

A statement piece doesn't necessarily have to be all about colour, the design and functionality comes into play too. A coat stand is fabulous as a piece that makes an impact in the room but isn't front and centre. Prints are an easy way to spice up the look and feel of a room.
